The University of Guyana and United Nations Guyana will host a policy dialogue as part of a series on thematic areas on climate and environment.

About the event
The dialogue will be facilitated by Dr. Samantha Stratton-Short, who is Head of Strategic Initiatives, Infrastructure and Project Management at the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
Managing a multidisciplinary team, Dr. Stratton-Short leads UNOPS thought leadership in infrastructure and the global agenda 2030 for sustainable development. The Strategic Initiatives team supports countries and partners with strategic and technical support to improve sustainable, resilient and inclusive development outcomes. Samantha has 25 years international experience managing programs and advising with governments, foundations, international finance institutions, NGOs and donors. She is originally an architect with a PhD in sustainable development from Cambridge and a career in sustainability and resilience of urban infrastructure. Prior to UNOPS, Samantha led Arup's International Development in Asia, based in the Philippines, focused primarily on climate resilience and urbanization.
