Caribbean Food Security & Livelihoods Survey – May 2023

After facing successive crises in the last few years, people in the Caribbean are continuing to feel the impact of price increases on their purchasing power, while coping with the underlying threat of natural hazards in the region. ​

Caribbean Community (CARICOM) launched the Caribbean Food Security and Livelihoods Survey to gather data on people’s livelihoods, access to markets and food security, and provide snapshots of these impacts over time. The survey aims to inform analysis and decision-making of governments and development partners in the region, building on the data collected in the previous five rounds highlighting the impact of COVID-19, the cost of living crisis and the effect of natural hazards on food security and livelihoods. ​

This report analyses data from the sixth round of data collection, which took place from 10 to 28 May 2023, and compares findings with previous survey rounds conducted between April 2020 and August 2022.
