Guyana benefits from Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Voluntary Fund

International human rights specialist stationed at the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance.

Through the Voluntary Fund for Financial and Technical Assistance in the implementation of the Universal Periodic Review, Mr. Christian Ntopa, United Nations Volunteer Human Rights Specialist, will support the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance on projects directly related to the Ministry’s mandate on inclusion, participation and human rights.

The Voluntary  Fund provides financial and technical assistance to help countries, in particular least developed countries (LDCs) and small island developing States (SIDS), implement recommendations emanating from the universal periodic review in consultation with, and with the consent of, the country concerned.
